The Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC)  has announced online registration and tentative exam dates along with the release of the notification pdf. CGPSC 2024 : Eligibility Criteria

Candidates interested in the CGPSC 2024 Exam must be aware that they fulfill all eligibility parameters in terms of educational qualification and age limit. If candidates do not fulfill the required eligibility their application forms will be rejected at any stage the of selection process.

Educational Qualification

A candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree from any of the recognized Universities in India incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislatures or any educational institution established by an Act of Parliament or deemed to be a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or an equivalent qualification.

Age Limit

Candidate's minumum age should not be less than 21 years and the maximum age should not be more than 28 years to be eligible to apply online for CGPSC Exam 2024.

CGPSC 2024 : Selection Process

Candidates applying for the  CGPSC exam will go through three stages -

• Prelims Exam
• Mains Exam
• Interview

Only candidates who pass the prelims will be called for the mains exam. Prelims marks are not considered for the final selection. Candidates who qualify in the mains will be called for the interview. The finel selection will be based on performance in the mains and interviews.

CGPSC 2024 : Exam Pattern

Prelims Exam 

The Preliminary Exam consists of 2 compulsory papers, each 2 hours long ,with multiple-choice questions.

First Paper 

• General Studies : 100 questions, 200 marks, 2 hours.
• 1/3 of the marks for a correct answer will be deducted for wrong answer. 

Second Paper

• Aptitude Test : 100 questions, 200 marks, 2 hours. 
• 1/3 of the marks for a correct answer will be deducted for wrong answer. 
• The second paper is only qualifying and will not be counted in the finel merit list for the Mains Exam.

Note - Selection for the Mains Exam will be based on the General Studies  Paper (First Paper) only.

Mains Exam 

• The CGPSC Main Examination consists of seven papers.
• Each paper of 200 marks, followed by a 100-mark interview.
• The question paper include short, medium and long answer types. 
• There is  a 1/3 penaly for incorrect answers.

CGPSC 2024 : Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay an application fee while submitting the CGPSC Application Form 2024. No examination fee will be charged to the local resident applicants of Chhattisgarh State, and candidates residing Outside Chhattisgarh state have to pay Rs. 400/-.

The online application process opens at 12:00 PM on 01/12/2024 and closed at 11:59 PM on 30/12/2024. Candidates need to apply online through the official website within this timeframe. To apply for the CGPSC Exam 2024, candidates must submit their details online, including photos and documents. The information must be accurate and complete, incorrect details may lead to disqualification.
