SBI Clerk Notification 2024 : Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must ensure they fulfill the SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria 2024 to apply for the offered posts set by the Bank. Candidates can check the details of the eligibility criteria below including educational qualification and age limit.

Educational Qualification (As on 31/12/2024)

  • A valid degree from any recognized university is required.
  • Integrated dual degree (IDD) holders need to check their passing date. Final-year students can apply provisionally but must pass before joining.
  • Ex-servicemen with specific certificates after 15 years of service are eligible.
  • Computer literacy is needed for the SBI Clerk Exam.

Age Limit (As on 01/04/2024)

The details of the age limit have been mentioned below for the candidates to check their age eligibility for the SBI Clerk post.
  • Minimum Age : 21 years
  • Maximum Age : 28 years

SBI Clerk Notification 2024 : Selection Process

The SBI Clerk Selection Process includes two stages
  • Prelims
  • Mains
Candidates need to pass each stage to get the final appointment letter. 


SBI Clerk Notification 2024 : Exam Pattern

As mentioned in the selection process, the SBI Clerk Exam involves two stages - Prelims and Mains. The prelims is a qualifying stage whereas the mains decide the final result. It is important for the candidates to get familiar with the SBI Clerk Exam Pattern 2024 to understand the structure of the examination.

Prelims Exam Pattern

  • Each test will have separate timing as mentioned below table.
  • There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of the mark assigned for the question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
  • No minimum qualifying marks for the individual subjects as well as for aggregate (overall) are prescribed.
  • The adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by the Bank (approximately 10 times the number of vacancies. subject to availability) will be shortlisted for the Mains Examinatiion from the list of all candidates arranged in descending order of aggregate marks scored.

Mains Exam Pattern 

  • Each test will have separate timing as mentioned below table.
  • There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of the mark assigned for the question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
  • Candidates are required to score minimum percentage marks on aggregate (For SC/ST/OBC/PWD/XS candidates, 5% relaxation available theoren).
  • Minimum qualifying marks on aggregate will be decided by the Bank.
  • No minimum qualifying marks for individual subjects are prescribed.
  • Merit list will be drawn State-wise, Category-wise.
  • Candidates qualified in the test (mains examination) will be placed according to their aggregate marks in descending order in respective State and Categories.

SBI Clerk Notification 2024 : Application Fees

The category-wise fees structure for the SBI Clerk online application is given below. Fees/ intimation chaege once paid will not be refunded on any account nor can they be held in reserve for any other examination or selection. The application fee must be paid online itself.

  2. Click on the "New Registration" button provided on the topmost right corner of the home page of the link provided above to start your registration process for the SBI Clerk Exam.
  3. Start your SBI Clerk Handwritten Declaration, Photograph and signature in the required formate as provided by the State Bank of India.
  4. Fill in your academic details and professional qualifications in this step of your online application process. Click on the "save and next" button after previewing your application form.
  5. Pay your Application fee through an Online Payment Option.
  6. Click on the Submit Button. Your application form will be submitted successfully. You will be sent as email with your Registration ID and Password by SBI for further login into the official website.

SBI Clerk Notification 2024 : Salary

The SBI Clerk Salary pay scale ranges from Rs. 24050 1340/3-28070-1650/3-33020-2000/4-41020-2340/7-57400 4400/1-61800-2680/1-64480. The starting salary is around Rs. 26,730 per month and the total starting emoluments of a Clerical Cadre employee payable will be approximately Rs. 46,000/- per month iclusive of D.A. , other allowances at the current rate.
