SBI PO Recruitment 2025 : Vacancy Details

The State Bank of India has released the vacancy details for the probationary officer post. For this year, SBI has announced a total of 600 vacancies including 586 as regular vacancies and 14 as backlog vacancies. Have a look at the category-wise vacancy to get an idea about the released vacancy.

SBI PO Recruitment 2025 : Eligibility Criteria

Any candidate applying for SBI PO Exam must fulfill the eligibility criteria which include the fulfillment of the following as per the SBI PO Notification 2025.

Nationality

1. The candidates must hold  Indian Citizenship
2. A subject of Nepal or Bhutan
3. A Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement
4. A person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Shri Lanka, Vietnam or East african countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Uganda, Ethiopia or Malawi, with the intention of permanent settlement in India

Note : Candidates belonging to categories 2,3, and 4 must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Govt of India in their fevor if willing to apply for SBI PO 2025.

Educational Qualification

1. A candidate must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
2. Finel Year/ Semester candidates can also apply only if the produce proof of their graduation on the date of the interview.

Age Limit (As on 01/04/2024)

The minimum age limit to apply for the SBI PO 2025 examination is 21 years to 30 years old at the time of registration. Candidates must have been born between 02/04/1994 and 01/04/2003, inclusive of both dates. Besides this, there is age relaxation relevant to category-wise candidates as per the government norms for SBI PO.

SBI PO Recruitment 2025 : Selection Process

The SBI PO Recruitment 2025 is the premier among the public- sector bank exams in India. It is considered a little difficult compared to the bank enterence exams conducted by IBPS. The selection process for the Probationary Officers at SBI consists of 3 stages -

• Preliminary Examination
• Main Examination
• GD/ Interview

SBI PO Recruitment 2025 : Exam Pattern

The structure of  SBI PO Exam Pattern 2025  is as follow -

Phase-1 : Preliminary Examination

• This is an online examination where the candidates must solve the question paper in one hour for 100 marks.
• A negative marking of 1/4 marks for each incorrect answer will be applicable.
• The test consists of 3 sections.
• Candidates must know that the sectional cut-off in the Preliminary Exam has been removed and the overall score of all the sections will be considered for selection to the next round.

Phase-2 : Main Examination

The SBI PO Mains Exam will comprise of Objective & Descriptive Section, which is described below in detail -

• Objective paper to be completed in 3 hours and descriptive paper in 30 minutes.
• In the objective part, there will be 4 sections.
• A  descriptive paper will be conducted along with the above-mentioned online test and there will be 2 questions in this paper.
• 0.25 marks will be deducted for every question attempted wrong by a candidate in SBI PO Mains Exam. No deduction will be made in marks if a question is left unattempted or blank by a candidate in the exam.
• There will be sectional cut off marks in Mains exam, Each candidate will have score a minimum score in each test in the Main Examination.

Phase-3 : Interview Process

A candidate who clear both the Prelims and Mains Exam of SBI PO 2025 will be further called for a GD-PI session wherein they will face a panel of selectors discussing their past experience and questions related to General Knowledge and of the Banking Sector. It is essential for a candidate to clere the Interview Process in order to ensure their finel selection in the SBI PO 2025 Exam. The qualifying marks for this round will be decided by the Bank and the marks allotted to these rounds are -

• Group Discussion - 20 marks
• Interview - 30 marks .

SBI PO Recruitment 2025 : Application Fee

The application fee for the SBI PO Recruitment 2025 must be paid online and is not refundable. Once the candidates have paid the fee, it cannot be transferred to another exam or held for future use. The SBI PO 2024-25 application, the fee structure is as follows -
