UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandants 2025 : Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
- A citizen of India
- A Subject of Bhutan
- A Subject of Nepal
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st Jan 1962 to permanently settle in India.
- A person of Indian origin who migrated from Myanmar, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and East African countries to permanently settle in India.
Educational Qualification
- The candidate must hold a Bachelor's Degree/ Graduation from any recognised university to be eligible for UPSC CAPF 2025 Exam.
- The candidates who appear in the final year of their degree course can also apply for the exam but they have to produce the final year mark sheet of the qualifying exam with the detailed application form.
Age Limit (As on 01/08/2025)
- The minimum age limit for the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination 2025 is 20 years and the maximum age limit is 25 years.
- Candidates must have been born not earlier than 2nd August 1999 and not later than 1st August 2004.

UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandants 2025 : Selection Process
1. Written Examination
- The first stage of the selection process for the UPSC CAPF 2025 exam is a written examination which will be held on 3rd August 2025.
- The written exam will comprise two papers.
- The paper I exam comprises the subject General Ability and Intelligence and is held for 250 Marks.
- The paper will be objective (Multiple Choice) Type.
- Paper II consists of General Studies, Essay and Comprehension for 200 Marks.
2. Physical Efficiency Test
- Candidates who cleared the written examination will be called for the 2nd stage of the selection process i.e. Physical Standards/ Physical Efficiency Test and Medical Standards Tests.
3. Interview
- Candidates who are declared qualified in the Medical Standards Tests, will be called for an Interview/ Personality Test. The final selection of the candidates will be based on the candidates marks scored in the written examination and Interview/ Personality Test.
UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandants 2025 : Exam Pattern
1. Written Examination
- Paper I & II will be in bilingual language (Hindi & English), excluding English Paper.
- Paper I is 2 hours duration and Paper II is of 3 hours duration.
- Paper I will consist of Multiple Choice Questions with negative marking of 1/3rd marks for each wrong answer.
- Paper II is a discriptive formate paper.
